Rational Numbers - Chapter 4

Good Morning Girls and Boys,
Today we on moving on with RATIONAL NUMBERS.  So, another all important vocabulary term, Rational Numbers.  Rational numbers include all integers ( whole numbers both positive and negative) plus all fractions ( positive or negative ) and SOME decimals ( positive and negative) .  Rational numbers are decimals that end or repeat, but NOT the decimals that do not end or repeat.  The most famous decimal that never ends or repeats is Pi.  We will go over this in class, but make sure you put this down in your graphic organizer that Pi is the most famous IRRATIONAL NUMBER of all!  I'll be checking!
So in these lessons, we will be adding on with our knowledge of integers and negative rules to fractions and decimals.  This is a little tricky but I think you can all handle this.
Awwww...... here is Mr Ryan and his new baby girl, Lydia.  How precious is this?  Congratulations to you and your wife and your beautiful little girl.

Homework: Read the blog, watch the videos and take notes in your graphic organizers.

Ex 4 5 Rational Numbers

As always in MATH,
Mrs M
